Caleo not connecting to the internet ? Try these simple steps.
Routers are notorious for being picky, especially if it’s been a while since the last new addition to your network. To reset your router state, disconnect power for at least 30 seconds, then reconnect and allow at least 90 seconds before trying anything. You can then tap the screen twice to bring up controls and tap the “WiFi” icon in the top left corner. This will manually initiate a report and should fix the problem if it came from your router.
If you’re using Android, this step does not currently apply to you. If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, then you must confirm your registration when you create your CaSA account. You should have received an email with a clickable link to do so. If you have not received that mail, look into your junk folders ! Still can’t find it ? Drop us an email at [email protected] mentioning your sign in name, we’ll fix that for you.
Upon it’s first connection to the Internet, Caleo will fetch and install the latest and most up to date software version for it’s controller. By the time it’s installed on your wall, chances are we’ve upgraded and modified the firmware that was programmed at the factory. It’s a completely automated process that requires no input on your part, however it can slow Caleo down while it performs these actions and it may not report for 10 to 15 minutes. It may also reboot several times in the process.
You can check Caleo’s status by pressing the Wi-Fi icon in the upper left corner of the screen. You will then see if Caleo is connected to your local network and if it has access to the Internet. This check also initiates a connection and report manually, which may solve certain DHCP issues on some routers.
