Having issues connecting Caleo to the Internet ?

Here are few simple tips

Routers can be temperamental, often when it’s been a while since the last new addition to your network or simply because it’s an older model (over 5 years old). A quick trick to refresh your router state it to disconnect power for at least 30 seconds, then reconnect and allow at least 90 seconds before trying to connect again. Tapping the screen twice will initiate a manual connection if Caleo is properly configured. In doubt, tap the Wi-Fi symbol in the upper left corner to see the state of the connection.

If you’ve chosen to use Google login, this won’t apply to you. But if you created an account with CaSA using your own email address, you should have received an activation link by email. If you haven’t activated your account, you won’t be able to configure Caleo for remote control. Look into your junk folder to see if hasn’t landed there by chance. If you still can’t find it, drop us a line using the contact form but keep in mind that our reply may not be delivered either if you missed that first email. You can always give us a call or poke us through social media if you’re unsure.

When it first connects to the Internet, Caleo will fetch and install the latest and most up-to-date firmware. It’s a completely automated process that requires no input on your part, but you may see your device showing a time clock for a while as it downloads all necessary files. It may also reboot several times in the process but once the update is complete, Caleo will automatically become available in your online account for programming and remote control.

If you’re not quite sure whether Caleo is online or not, you can tap the Wi-Fi icon in the upper left corner of the screen. You will then see if Caleo is connected to your router and if it has access to the Internet. This check also initiates a connection and report manually, which may solve certain DHCP issues on some routers. If your signal strength is below 30%, we suggest moving your router to a closer location or simply purchasing a range extender, available for cheap at most home electronics store.
